Requirements
Field 1
Complete 8 Learning Stories AND implement 4 learning experiences with reflection
Weekly Seminar classes will be held
- 5 stories focused on play (indoors and outdoors)
- 2 stories based on daily life routines
- 1 story based on transitions
- Students will plan/implement 4 learning experiences based on completed Learning Stories (3 play, 1 routine)
- 1 learning experience with reflection should be implemented before midterm
- Students will complete 10 journal reflections to share with their Sheridan professor
- Ongoing daily interactions with children

Field 2
Complete 9 Learning Stories AND implement 9 learning experiences with reflections
Weekly Seminar classes will be held
- Students will implement at least 1 large group and 1 adult initiated small group experience (where age appropriate)
- Learning experiences must support ALL curriculum areas at their placement site (eg., home area, art area, reading and writing area)
- 4 learning experiences must be completed before mid-term
- Students will complete 6 journal reflections to share with their Sheridan professor
- Introduce 10 "invitations" to spark children's curiousity
- Ongoing daily interactions with children

Field 3
Implement 10 learning experiences based on at least 4 curriculum webs AND create 3 pieces of pedagogical documentation (not Learning Stories) AND lead 4 responsibility days
Weekly Seminar classes will be held
- Students are expected to contribute to the curriculum planning in the following way:
- DAY 1
- Record anecdotal observations to identify children's interests
- Develop a curriculum web based on interests
- Discuss and identify with placement mentor which learning experience to implement the next day
- DAY 2
- Implement the learning experience as agreed to from web (no planning form is required)
- Complete a reflection about the experience and share with placement mentor
- DAY 1
- 1 responsibility day should be completed before midterm
- Students will use placement site templates, planning forms to support the responsibility days
- 1 piece of pedagogical documentation to be completed before midterm and can take any form as approved by placement mentor
- Introduce 10 "invitations" to spark children's curiousity
- Students will complete 14 journal reflections to share with their placement mentor and their Sheridan professor
- Ongoing daily interactions with children and families
